This was probably one of the items I splurged on during our renovation and I'm super glad I did. It's super quiet when on and doesn't disrupt conversations happening in our kitchen.
Not installed yet waiting for snow is gone and was to cold outside
This is a great range hood, simple straightforward design made with solid quality. We are loving it.
Works great. Quiet. Easy install.
I cannot recommend this range hood highly enough! I wanted to wait until we had been using it for a couple months before writing this review to make sure we were truly pleased with it.
After wasting money on two (!) big name brand range hoods, made God knows where, that were cheap, thin steel and plastic fan housings that warped and scraped and did not remove cooking steam and smells- we decided to look for a range hood that is Canadian made and had good reviews.
Our Victory Range Hood is made of thick, quality steel, the fan housings are steel, the motors are quiet and super efficient. The baffle filters are beautiful and easy to clean. There is literally no plastic on this unit and it works like a charm. And it's beautiful rounded corners are great. SUPER pleased with it and was happy to pay only just slightly more than the big name brand garbage range hoods are.
The only comment I would make, if you are using this unit as a retrofit to replace an existing unit- I had to make a couple of adjustments to the cabinet above as my vent piping did not line up exactly with the exhaust ports on the Victory unit. And I had to install an electrical receptacle in the cabinet as the new unit has a plug that goes out the top. Both relativity easy fixes and I would not hesitate to do it again because this Victory range hood works great and is worth way more than what we paid for it. 👏👏👏🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
We needed a hood insert of a certain size and Victory fit the bill at a great price. It's a very nice looking insert, though it does have some sharp edges on the grills. The light won't stay on if turned past a certain dimmness; that's really our only complaint.
Looks and works great except for one of the lights works intermittently and no instructions for removing them or replacing them.
Thank you for the review, Dave!
The installation manual typically includes instructions regarding the replacement of lights. If you have questions or need more assistance, please email our team at support@victoryrangehoods.com, we respond within 24 hours!
We completely remodeled our kitchen which involved knocking walls down. It's a beautiful kitchen. The one thing everyone comments on is the hood. I love the flush mount, it actually works! Tested the first time I cooked, lol. It is loud, but not in a crazy or annoying way. It was worth every penny. We had to do some special custom framing in the ceiling because of the way our joists are, but the hood itself was easy to install.
Thank you for the kind review!
If you have any concerns about the sound levels at all, please send a photo of your outside wall/roof cap to our team at support@victoryrangehoods.com and we would be happy to review the installation for any potential improvements.
Love the idea of solid turn switches (motherboards and eventual grease accumulation don’t mix!!) this is quality product they take pride in their craft 👍🏻👍🏻
I have bought 3 hoods in the past. When renovating the new kitchen I wanted a hood that was quite, but also powerful that it could get rid of cooking odors and fumes. I stumbled upon the Victory hood site and read reviews and the Twister fitted my needs. It's elegant, beautiful and preforms well. Extremely happy with my purchase. Thank you Victory
Previous hood: Elica ELN136SS
Currently mounted to 8" vent duct.
Compared to the Elica:
Build Quality: Elica has smoother edges and insulation to reduce noise levels. Victory has sharp edges particularly on the baffle filters which could cause cuts when attempting to wipe clean.
Airflow: Victory has better airflow likely due to larger hood design enabling better airflow into the fan. Elica has a more compact design resulting in slower airflow into the fan.
Noise level: the Victory hood has subjectively lower sound levels likely due to larger hood volume resulting in lower airspeeds even though more air is moved.
Lighting: Victory has significantly better lighting
Customer Service:
Damage was noted on the unit that did not affect function. Financial compensation was provided promptly. CS attributed damage to shipping.
Looks great, good quality and works well.
Had this delivered, unpackeged it and inspected. Looks fantastic, had the contractor look at it. They love it. Getting it installed this month. Can't wait.
We needed a ductless hood for our kitchen and it perfectly met all the criteria we wanted: a Canadian product, stylish, powerful, and easy to install.
Nous avions besoin d’une hotte sans conduit pour notre cuisine et celle-ci rempli parfaitement tous les critères que nous désirions : un produit canadien, stylée, puissante, et d’une installation facile.
I bought a Victory Q2 range hood to replace another brand new hood of another brand that wasn't venting properly. When I had this one installed, I was still having a problem with it not catching heavy steam from the front burner. Online customer service, through a series of questions back and forth, involving photos of the unit and of the outdoor vent cover, was able to troubleshoot that the problem was actually that my contractor had installed a vent cover sized for a bathroom exhaust fan that was just incapable of removing the volume of air this fan was taking out. I have now had that vent cover replaced with a Victory cover. Who knows how long it would have taken me to figure this out (my contractor failed) if it hadn't been for your customer service team taking the time and asking the right questions? I'm very grateful.
Love the esthetics and function of this. It is so much better than having a large vent. Function is quiet also! Love it!!
This is only a partial review because it has not been installed yet. It looks to be quality and very well made. Also very well protected and packaged. I will post a final review once installed.
I was unsure whether i wanted to purchase this roof cap for my project as the price was a fair bit more than other large retail products. However, considering other positive reviews on quality i opted to purchase this alongside Victory's flush hood fan and I am not disappointed. Right from opening the package the quality is apparent. The damper is solid and the housing is not flimsy. Although no one will probably notice, i feel like this vent stands out from all the other ones on my roof, in a good way. Great Canadian product, for once I'm glad that the website recommended this and upsold me, it saved me from purchasing a cheap plastic alternative which would probably have failed during this crazy winter in the prairies.
Product exceeds expectations. Packaged very well, energy rating better than less powerful models, dimmable LEDs nice colour (3500K), relatively easy to install. Low profile, easy to access & maintain. Plus, the product is manufactured here in Canada. Minor drawbacks include glass cover plate for switches, which is also magnetic and risks breaking. I also recommend building a frame b/w joices if possible. I have 2x4 joistes, spaced 24" apart, but the unit designed to fit in 16" 2x6 joist space, but with a frame its easy to anchor with screws through side. Finally, review the included parts prior to install, mine was missing the filters, however Victory was very accommodating and shipped them with no fuss.
Love this hood! I’ve had it for two years and it has worked flawlessly to vent a range from an 8-foot ceiling in a large open kitchen-dining room space. I far prefer it to a hood that protrudes from the ceiling down into the room.
Exceptional engineering, design and manufacturing- I actually look forward to cleaning this thing as it is so easy - the filters snap back into place perfectly.
Great hood fan. So quiet even on the top speed. It looks fantastic under our custom navy blue cover! Love it!
Needed to replace 2 bulbs out of 4 and couldn't find the removal tool key.
Carefully used my needle pliers instead and didn't damage any of the surfaces but the key is the better way to go. The key that I lost was shipped to me at no cost. Thank you Victory.

I didn’t want to submit my review until I had a chance to use it first. The delivery was fast and packaged to withstand a tornado; so it arrived in pristine condition. What I love about the unit is its utility; simple knobs to turn off and on without having to obtain an electronics degree to figure out how to operate it. The lights are bright and the fan extracts the grease so now I don’t have grease and dust on furniture and glass tabletops just the dust, which was the object of getting this extractor fan in the first place. It doesn’t get rid of all the odours but I don’t have the luxury of a straight out pipe so that could be the culprit. What I also love about this unit is the quality; I can take a wet cloth and wipe it clean without leaving streaks. I haven’t had it long enough to remove the baffles and drip trays and put them in the dishwasher to clean them but with the quality I’m confident they will clean beautifully. It is so difficult to find straightforward, quality products anymore that it refreshing to find it still possible.
Not only is it so pretty, but it’s incredibly powerful - which is what we need in our new kitchen with teenagers who love to cook! :) My installation crew kept commenting on it, saying how impressed they were and asking where we got it. We’ve only been using it for a few weeks but I have no doubt about it standing the test of time. This is a robust and quality product.
Better quality and air flow than anything at the local box stores.
The damper works great and has smaller gaps (leakage) than any others i've seen. Good design and well built.
Its hard for me to give 5 stars to anything but I cant think of negatives.
