Pay the extra money and get a high quality product. My installer was impressed with this roof vent.

This hood does what it’s suppose to do. Arrived very well packaged. Easy to install, looks good. The louvre seems well designed

Well I'm not sure we have not installed it yet.

The product itself is very well made with clear install instructions. However the attached sleeve/extension fits inside the 8" pipe needed to complete the install. Ideally the extention pipe should fit into the sleeve as the airflow should not encounter any obstructions and the sleeve is an obstruction. I would have also preferred if it was offered in black to match my shingles. Other colours would also be a bonus.
What "I wish I knew" though was that this product was available when I ordered the fan initially. Now I do certainly take some of the blame for not looking further on the site. However the website could have suggested that I would need this or something like it & asked if I would like to purchase it at the sale time. I may have been able to save some of the extra service charges by having to order & ship separately. I love everything about the fan it's and think both the fan & vent termination are of the best quality.
