Louder than anticipated

Our Victory Verona 30 inch under cabinet hood arrived well packaged. It is a very a nice looking range hood, and is very heavy, however it is not as effective on the lower, quieter settings. We were looking for a quiet range hood that removed odours efficiently. The hope was that we could carry on a reasonably normal conversation while using it, but in order to move the air out it needs to be at the louder settings. Nice looking, seemingly well put together, but not as quiet as advertised.

Please note, the Verona model is the quietest option on the market for this CFM level and noise rating. If your unit is loud, there could be a concern with the ducting or outside vent cap.

Interfacing with existing venting for several reasons was not easy but Victory's stellar customer support by way of many phone calls helped me find solutions. One was adjusting the Verona for 600 cfms for a 6" vent pipe. We now have a quieter fan as a bonus. The Verona has a minimal visual presence that blends into any period, even our 1940s kitchen. With NO sharp corners and mechanical switches. The Verona has a presence of build quality that matches our 1940s Okeefe & Merritt stove. That is as good as it gets.

Sleek design and effective ventilation. It does get a bit noisy on high speed, but runs quietly on low. Works well overall — highly recommend!

30” 900 CFM Under Cabinet Hood

I didn’t want to submit my review until I had a chance to use it first. The delivery was fast and packaged to withstand a tornado; so it arrived in pristine condition. What I love about the unit is its utility; simple knobs to turn off and on without having to obtain an electronics degree to figure out how to operate it. The lights are bright and the fan extracts the grease so now I don’t have grease and dust on furniture and glass tabletops just the dust, which was the object of getting this extractor fan in the first place. It doesn’t get rid of all the odours but I don’t have the luxury of a straight out pipe so that could be the culprit. What I also love about this unit is the quality; I can take a wet cloth and wipe it clean without leaving streaks. I haven’t had it long enough to remove the baffles and drip trays and put them in the dishwasher to clean them but with the quality I’m confident they will clean beautifully. It is so difficult to find straightforward, quality products anymore that it refreshing to find it still possible.

Happy so far

We have a few of these hood fans in our schools, and really like them so far as the performance and build quality is excellent so justifies what might appear to be high price point.

Verona 30 inch

Very nice fan - it looks extremely well built. It is a bit louder than our previous fan - but it's twice as powerful too. There were some issues with installation - the instructions (on the web and in the box) are Wrong! It is not 29.5" wide - it's 29.75". This is important. Also, I think the wall mounting would have gone well - but we didn't have that option and doing the under cabinet mounting was difficult - the mounting holes are not easily accessible. We ended up drilling two holes (one each side) which made mounting easier - then using the intended mounting holes. Other than those issues, we are very happy.
